RISAKO was born and raised in Japan where she discover her passion for creative design, high fashion, and entertainment during her time at Vantan Design institute in Tokyo’s vibrant cultural capital of Shibuya. She also holds a Master Barber License in New York, expanding her diverse skill set and industry knowledge. 

 

Soon after graduating from Vantan, RISAKO moved to NYC, taking up apprenticeships with legendary hair stylists Didier Malige and Bob Recine and such more artists where she contributed to premier photo shoots with a-list celebrities and brands. 

 

She regularly collaborates with the world’s leading fashion brands, celebrities, and magazines. Her experience spans 100+ fashion shows in New York, Paris, London, and Milan, for Nike, Balenciaga, Tom Ford, Ralph Lauren, and many others, and her work can be seen in publications ranging from Vogue to Harper’s Bazaar.

NYC's diversity and dynamism continually inspire RISAKO to discover new iconic looks that infuse historical elements with modern day style. Her technical expertise includes working with various hair textures, extensions, and wigs.
